The 2013 Hainan ‘Wanning Cup’ Dragon Boat Tournament will be held at Gangbei Port, Wanning City on June 12th.

A total of 8 teams from different cities and counties across Hainan, including Wenchang, Wanning, Chengmai and Sanya, have signed up for the competition.

The tournament will involve 3 rounds of 200m and 500m races conducted in four racing lanes.

According to the organizing committee, the purpose of the Dragon Boat Tournament is to continue the practice of traditional Chinese Dragon Boat culture and to encourage more people to participate in the traditional sport.
