In 2010, the government of Wuzhishan city invested in and developed the bike route along the over 210-kilometer-long coastal highway along the river, which combines beautiful rainforest views, unique ethnic customs and many tourism attractions from revolutionary times.

Hainan’s only travel agency that treats bike tours as a core business – Hainan Weile travel agency – was brought in to help establish a tourist resort base for bike holidays that reaches European standards at Wuzhi Mountain scenic area in 2010. The base can now handle 2000 tourists a month.

In addition, Europe’s most famous bike vacation club, Swiss MAX bike club, is expected to start providing coaching and training at Wuzhi Mountain scenic area soon.
