We reveal how to get the enviable physiques of the stars. This week: Actor Michael Fassbender’s arms

His perfectly chiselled upper arms are much admired in Hollywood.

Not that the 35-year-old star of 300, Prometheus and Jane Eyre takes the easy route to fitness.

His weekly regime includes weights, pull-ups, push-ups, box-jumps and floor wipers (where you lie on your back holding a bar of weights in the air, lifting both legs towards it).

The Irish-German star also runs and cycles, and keeps his arms primed with boxing style exercises.

TRY THIS: The Preacher Curl works the triceps at the back of the arms.

Kneel on the floor in front of a gym ball, holding a dumbbell or bottle of water in your right hand (palm upwards).

Lean over the ball until your chest is resting on it.

Keep the ball in place by holding it with your left hand.

With the upper arm and elbow of your right arm on the top of the ball, slowly straighten your arm and lower the weight, then lift it back to the starting position.

Don’t let the weight bounce off the ball.

Repeat 12 to 15 times and change sides.
