Britain’s leading body-part models share their beauty secrets
But there are ways to make the most of what you’ve got. Here, Britain’s leading body-part models share their secrets on how they keep their physiques camera-ready . . .
FOR A PERKY BUST
Stacey HANNANT, 20, has modelled for Ann Summers and Weight Watchers, and says: ‘I do yoga and Pilates twice a week. It helps me stand straight and keeps my breasts lifted. And every day I do three sets of 20 press-ups to tone the area where the breast meets the armpit.
‘To firm my bust, I squeeze the juice from a lemon and add a tablespoon of rum, leave it in the fridge overnight and massage it into my breasts before washing it off with cold water.’
FOR A FLAT STOMACH
I eat a handful of prunes to flush out toxins. I’ve banned white bread and pasta, and have gluten-free alternatives, and I avoid fizzy drinks and chewing gum as they create swelling by encouraging you to swallow air.
‘Hula-hooping gives me a defined waistline and flat tummy that isn’t too muscular.’
FOR TONED LEGS
Nina TAYLOR, 30, was Kate Moss’s leg double, and says: ‘I do ballet steps such as rising on tiptoes, or bending up and down with my legs apart and knees pointing to the side.
‘I spend ten minutes on each leg every day. It keeps my legs lean, with just the right amount of muscle tone. I never sit cross-legged, and try to avoid tight clothing like leggings — they can encourage varicose veins. I also elevate my legs and massage them with body oil to stop puffiness.’
FOR A BEAUTIFUL BACK
Jemma JADE is a 24-year-old back and shoulder model who has been in Tatler and GQ magazines. She says: ‘A daily ten-minute skipping routine works every part of the back.
‘To smooth my skin I scrub with sea salt and olive oil every other day. I also cleanse with Murad Blemish Control Skin Perfecting Lotion (£34, marksandspencer.com) to keep it flawless.’
FOR AMAZING ARMS
Laura Brooke, 23, who has modelled for Topshop and Lee Jeans, says: ‘I hold a tin of soup in each hand, straighten my arms out to the side, lift them above my head and down again. I do it while I’m catching up with Mad Men.
‘I also use a glycolic acid cleanser on my arms and apply tons of urea cream — my favourite is Eucerin Intensive Lotion (£13.49, boots.com) — to keep the skin smooth.’
FOR A BRILLIANT BEHIND
The pert bottom of Zara Miller, 32, has appeared in Lynx and Myla campaigns. She says: ‘To banish cellulite, I dry body-brush my legs and bottom for five minutes a day before showering.
‘I also rub my buttocks with a handful of dry coffee grounds to stimulate circulation. Every morning, I drink a mug of hot water with two teaspoons of apple-cider vinegar and honey.’
FOR DAINTY FEET
The size four feet of Hammasa Kohistani, 25, can be found in Kurt Geiger ads. She says: ‘I scrub my soles with brown sugar and a few drops of almond oil once a week, and, once oiled, wrap them in clingfilm overnight to keep them soft.
‘After hours of shooting in heels I plunge my feet into iced water to get rid of puffiness and strap marks.’
