Luhuitou urban village
  
Sanya is going to build the Luhuitou Peninsula urban village into a provincial Folk Custom Park for Hainan minorities.
 
The renovation project has two main items including the renovation of the whole village and the Phase II construction of the yacht harbor for the Volvo Ocean Race. 
 
According to the planning, the Luhuitou urban village will be built into a folk custom park for ethnic minorities in Hainan in which will display the lifestyle of Li nationality. 
 
At present, the on-going projects include residential relocations and grave removals. The authority has paid RMB55 million for the compensation.
 
Hainan plans to build 6 characteristic villages of ethnic minorities, among which Binlang Ethnic Village and Luhuitou Village are located in Sanya.
