With the 2012 Olympics around the corner, now’s the perfect time to kick-start that fitness regime.

And to offer some inspiration Victoria’s Secret model Erin Heatherton has revealed how she keeps her 5′ 11" frame in top condition.

Running and yoga are a daily ritual for the 23-year-old but she says that after meeting Cindy Crawford, she also realises the importance of a protein filled diet to avoid losing her curves.

‘I met Cindy Crawford once and she said something to me I’ll never forget…

‘She said it’s really not always about working out the most important thing is about what you eat. That really changed my perspective,’ she told PopSugar.

While she sticks to a gluten-free diet Ms Heatherton, who has been dating Leonardo DiCaprio since December 2011, says she has a healthy approach to food.

‘I love fish and chicken and I’ll eat bacon too sometimes.

‘I’ll cheat on meat and cheese. I workout and eat right, I can’t be too hard in myself about making mistakes and whatever.’

Ms Heatherton, who works out for an hour everyday, launched a new workout range for Victoria’s Secret earlier this year along with Candice Swanepoel.

Featuring grey crop tops, bras and leggings with a yellow and blue trim, the clothes are designed for exercising in style.

The U.S. lingerie giant is currently racing to open its first UK stores before July 28 in a bid to capitilise on tourism driven by the London Olympics.

It is set to open its 16,500 sq ft, three-floor Bond Street store on July 25, two days before the start of the sporting spectacular, while its Westfield Stratford City store is expected to open a day later, sources told Retail Week.

The retailer, which has 1,000 stores globally, is likely to attract thousands of shoppers, who are expected to spend an extra £16.6m in the West End as a direct result of the Games.
