Zhang Xi & Xue Chen win Asian Beach Volleyball Championship

At the 2011 Asian Beach Volleyball Championship hosted in the resort city Haikou, China’s Zhang Xi, Xue Chen beat countrywomen Zhang Changning, Ma Yuanyuan in straight sets to win the women’s title.
Chinese top seeds Zhang Xi and Xue Chen enjoyed an easy 21-12, 21-13 victory in the final, securing the third place in London Olympic qualification ranking by adding another 500 points.
The other Chinese pair Zhang Changning, Ma Yuanyuan have made their best finish as runners-up after beating Sydney Olympic Champion Natalie Cook and her partner Tamsin Hinchley in the semifinal 21-18, 21-13.
Brazil’s Juliana Felibersta Silva, Larissa Franca and Misty May-Treanor/Kerri Walsh of the United States have already taken the top two positions to London.
