2011 Air Sports Rally to kick off in Hainan
 
According to relevant departments, the 1st Hainan Air Sports Rally is going to be kicked off in December, 2011.
 
The event will cover a range of aerial activities including power hang gliders, hot air balloons and powered parachutes.
 
According to the initial plan, 4 representative cities on the island will be chosen as the hosting destinations for this event.
 
During the event, each hosting destination is going to organize a series of local activities featuring air sports like aerial photo contest to discover the flavors and culture of each destination.
 
The favoable weather and flight conditions in Hainan makes it a top spot for carrying out this event after several tour visits by Fédération Aéronautique Internationale (FAI), China Airlines Association and the State Sports General Administration of Aviation.
 
With an aim to promote the development of air sports industry, the event is expected to attract a large number of air sports enthusiasts to come to the island.
