Wanning, as a host city for the annual International Surfing Festival, will hold the 2011 ASP Women’s World Longboard Final from October 25th to 30th, 2011, according to the news conference of 2011 Wanning International Surfing Festival held on June 16.

 

Wanning City, as the first good surfing spot in China, has gained world wide recognition after the successful host of 2010 Wanning International Surfing Festival.

 

In order to turn Wanning into the best surfing destination in China as well as over the world, Wanning Government have signed an agreement with the World Association of Surfing Professionals (ASP) on the introduction of Women’s World Longboard Championship. The tournament is a six-star world tour event and will be held in Wanning for three consecutive years.

 

Hosted by State General Administration of Sports Water Sports Administration Management Center, Hainan Tourism Development Commission, Hainan Provincial Administration of Culture, Radio & Television, Publishing and Sport and People’s Government of Wanning, there will be 32 world top professional women surfers gather in Wanning to compete for the championship.
