3yo UK girl Saffron Pledger with IQ of 140 set to join Mensa
Go figure … Saffron Pledger is a Countdown fan
SUPERBRIGHT Saffron Pledger is set to join brainbox group Mensa aged THREE – after getting hooked on TV’s Countdown.
The youngster has an IQ of 140 compared to a UK average of 100.
She showed her amazing intelligence by beating dad Danny as they watched Channel 4’s words-and-maths game.
And web designer Danny, 23, was good enough to appear on the show eight times to reach the quarter-finals last year.
He said: "I will say I have a seven-letter word and she will say she’s got an eight. I hope she will go on the show one day."
Saffron, of Southend, Essex, is not far behind ex-Countdown presenter Carol Vorderman’s IQ of 154.
She can read stories to her little sister, count to 50 and do basic maths.
Clothes designer mum Kirsty, 22, said: "We haven’t done anything special to help her, but she’s very confident."
Peppa Pig fan Saffron’s amazing IQ was discovered by an educational psychologist who tested her. Saffron, three only a month ago, said: "I’ll go to school soon."
Mensa said she can join after her test results are examined.
