2011 ITF Women’s Circuit Sanya to kick off on Mar 12-20
The organizing committee of the 2011 ITF Women’s Circuit Sanya held a press conference in the morning of March 3rd, 2011 in the BaoHong Hotel Sanya, to announce detailed information of 2011 ITF Womens Circuit Sanya.
Hosted by the Sanya Municipal Government and Chinese Tennis Association, and jointly undertaken by the Sanya Sports Bureau of Culture, Radio & Television Publication, the 2011 ITF Women’s Circuit Sanya will kick off from March 12th to March 20th at the Yuantong Tennis Centre located at Luhuitou Square in Hedong District, Sanya.
According to the organizing committee, more than 150 tennis players from 30 countries including America, United Kingdom, Russia, Switzerland, Austria, Luxembourg, Italy, South Korea and Japan will participate in the tournament.
“Sanya is a tourist landmark and if we can organize some international spots like the TF Women’s Circuit then it will act as an impetus to attract more people to visit Sanya.”, said Li Boqing, the Vice Mayor of Sanya at the conference.
It is learned that it is first time for Sanya to hold such kind of International sport and the Sanya Government has attached great importance to this event and made full preparation for it.
The winner of the tournament will pocket prize money of 25,000 U.S. dollars and the credits will be recorded with the WTA ranking system.
