The foundation-laying ceremony of Sanya’s largest theme park was held in Haitang Bay
 
The Sanya Municipal Government and Dalian Haichang Group have reached an agreement on the project for a theme park entitled” Fantastic Sleepless Entertainment City” in Haitang Bay, on Tuesday, reports sycb.com.
 
To be located in Haitang Bay, 28 km from the downtown center, Haitang Bay theme park will involve a total investment of 5.2 billion yuan, covering an area of 1,480 hectares. The theme park has been listed by Sanya Government as a key project for 2011.
 
With the rapid tourism development in recent years, there is an urgent need to build a comprehensive and high-end entertainment venue to provide tourists with a wealth of entertainment activities.
 
The theme park will constitute entertainment facilities, hotels, restaurants and shopping malls. The project will make full use of the ecological resources of Haitang Bay to develop it into a world-class and largest entertainment theme park in Hainan.
 
Local authorities say that the upcoming theme park will continue to play an important role in boosting the local economy when completed.
