The countdown is beginning to the second round of the second KTA Asia kiteboard tour and this time its China’s turn. The KTA China this year will be taking place on the tropical Chinese island of Hainan in the coastal area of Wenchang.

Sponsored by the Baijin Holiday Hotel who are offering free accommodation as part of the package to all registered riders the event promises to be one of the biggest turn outs to date for the KTA. Certainly the run in to the Baijin KTA China has attracted the largest pre-event registration that the we have seen and it is still building steadily day by day, so if you have still not made your mark and entered it might be time to do so now before all those rooms go.

The event on Hainan will run from the 25-29 November 2010, with the 25th being the rider sign in and final registration day, plus of warm-up day to check out the location and conditions. The 26th – 29th will then be fully occupied with competition, with the focus being on the tour’s sanction world ranking events in freestyle and course racing. The racing does of course this year feature a new TT class, which proved very popular in the first round of this year’s KTA in Turkey. So all you twin-tip riders no need to just sit and watch those race boards blasting round, you can get out there too and who know perhaps even walk away with the top prize in the class.

It’s a great prize package too between local title sponsor the Baijin Hotel and the tours title brand sponsor’s Cabrinha, enable us to be able to present a prize table value of more than US$10,000 for this event. Prizes will be awarded for at least 1st to 3rd positions in both the men’s and women’s competitions for each of the tours main disciplines, with a few more random prizes on top of that will be decided on at the event.

Also with luck and the conditions on our side the Baijin KTA China will also run its first round of the SPLOCS sponsored Old Skool KTA so don’t miss out in being part of the fun and you just know the beach crowds are going to love this event, big air, mega rotations and fancy board off’s how can you not want to be part of it.
