There is a moving love folklore about the park. Long time ago, a young Li ethnic hunter ran after a deer from the Mount Wuzhi tothe shore of south China Sea. The deer found no way to go except the sea under a cliff, and the hunter bent his bow and got ready to shoot. Suddenly a flame shone and mist rose to the sky, the deer turned her head back and changed into a beautiful girl. Soon, the hunter and the fairy girl fell in love and settle down here.
