Hosted by China Golf Association and Professional Golfers’ Association of America (PGA), undertaken by Haikou Municipal Government and the Department of Culture Radio Television Publication and Sports of Hainan, the 56th World Cup of Golf will he held from 24 to 27 November, 2011 on Haikou Blackstone Course, Omega Mission Hills.

 

With a purse of US$7.5million, it will be the first time the Omega Mission Hills World Cup has taken place in Hainan, a stunning tropical island in the South China Sea which is rapidly becoming a golfing paradise with its world class courses.

 

Earning its nickname as the “Olympics of Golf”, the World Cup represents the highest level of team competition in golf. By then, teams from 28 nations including the participants from Chinese team will participate in the competition to chase for the championship.
