China Golf Group to open Golf College & Training Centre in Haikou
Headquartered in Shanghai, China Golf Group, Inc. ("China Golf", or the "Company", or "we"), a leading developer of premium golf courses, golf communities and improved land properties in China and the first of its kind publicly registered and reporting in the United States, announced that on March 16th, 2011, China Golf signed a letter of intent with the Golf College of Shenzhen University for cooperatively setting up Golf College and Training Center in Haikou, Hainan Province, China.
Founded in 1997, the Golf College of Shenzhen University is the first golf college offering program in golf management in China. It aims at providing relative skill training and professional knowledge of golf management, obtaining the professional capabilities in management of golf clubs or associations, organizing golf tournaments and developing products and relative market of golf sport.
Both parties agree to found a joint venture of Golf College and Training Center in Haikou, Hainan Province, China to educate golf professionals in China.
The planned Golf College and Training Center will be built in Haikou, the capital city of Hainan Province, offering a full range of golf related courses based on the international standard. An 18-hole golf course for tournaments will be included in the Training Center, providing a venue for golf players to play daily.
"As the first and best golf college in China, we are excited to have the opportunity to cooperate with China Golf Group, the first US listed Chinese golf company, to set up this Golf College and Training Center in Haikou successfully," said Dr. Xiaochun Zhang, the dean of the Golf College of Shenzhen University.
"We believe this cooperation will not only provide future sufficient golf management human resource to China Golf Group," said Tiger Bi, the CEO of China Golf Group, "but also bridge China Golf Group with those privilege golf industry players via shortcut. This cooperation will enhance our core competence in different perspectives."
