Yazhou Guyue Ethnic Cultural Village reopens after a series of upgrades
The Yazhou Guyue Ethnic Cultural Village in Sanya recently re-opened to visitors after months of construction and efforts to improve its facilities and services.
To enhance the tourist experience, the scenic spot has undergone an upgrade that will bring it to a higher standard in terms of tourist traffic, sightseeing, shopping, comprehensive management, and the protection of regional resources and the environment.
Yazhou Guyue Ethnic Cultural Village is a national 3A Scenic Spot. The village showcases the culture and heritage of Hainan’s ethnic minorities. The current total scenic area covers 138 acres. The village includes housing for Li and Miao tribes, a Li brocade exhibition hall, a pottery-making hall, and a museum that houses traditional Li arts and crafts.
The destination offers visitors a window into every aspect of the local ethnic group’s traditions, from the boat-shaped houses they live in, to the history of making pottery, to the way they make exquisite Li brocade.
