The Mission Hills Movie Town, a film-themed tourism joint venture by film director Feng Xiaogang and film production company Huayi Brothers, went into business on June 7th, 2014 in Haikou.

 Mission Hills Movie Town 
 
Set on a 1,400-acre site at Mission Hills Haikou, the Movie Town is destined to be a major entertainment and commercial district. The project features settings from some of Fengs famous movies, including “Back To 1942” 《温故1942, “Tangshan Earthquake” 《唐山大地震》, “If You Are The One”《非诚勿扰》 and the series of Lunar New Year movies. It also comprises three commercial and entertainment districts, a movie set and landscape district, five mega indoor film studios, boutique hotels and a myriad of ancillary facilities relating to movie tourism and photography services.
 
The project boasts Republican China Street, Socialism Street, Nanyang Street, and Movie Set & Landscape District, showcasing the historical revolution in Chinese architecture from the last century. Bringing together an array of international brands, gourmet cuisine, fine dining, entertainment, shopping, cinemas, cafés, music stores, wine cellars, souvenir shops and boutique hotels in one location, this premium tourist attraction will entice local and overseas tourists and leave them spellbound.
