Hainan Airlines Group acquired shares in Yangtze River Express Airlines Company Limited from China Airlines, Yang Ming Marine Transport (Yang Ming Lines), Wanhai Lines and others former shareholders, reports Yicai.com, citing sources from Hainan Airlines Group and China Airlines (Taiwan).

According to the report, China Airlines, Yangming Lines and Wanhai Lines sold 25 percent, 12 percent and 6 percent equity stakes in Yangze River Express for 312.5 million yuan, 150 million yuan and 75 million yuan, respectively.

Hainan Airlines, China Airlines, Yangming Lines, Wanhai Lines and China Container Express Lines established Yangze River Express in 2006, with a total registered capital of 500 million yuan.
