Hainan Haotian Museum, the largest folk museum in Hainan, has been jointly invested by renowned Nanjing folk collector Xu Shanglong and his son Xu Haotian.
 
The museum, which was scheduled to be built in Nanjing, is located in the Xinglong, Wangning.
 
Hainan Haotian Museum covers an area of 40,000 square meters, including a 10,000-square-meter exhibition hall for ancient Chinese folk collections, and has had a total investment of 300 million yuan. It has been under construction since April this year and will be competed by 1st February 2013.
 
The museum will be the largest folk museum in Hainan province, as well as an important base for Hainan’s cultural industry. It will be open to the public for free after its completion.
