The movie Aroma of Heaven, originally titled Biji Kopi Indonesia (Indonesian Coffee Beans Ed.), once again won an award. It was crowned as the best documentary film at Hainan Festival Film 2015 (21st Century Maritime Silk Road). The film was produced by State Film Company (Perum PFN) in collaboration with BudFilm, Traffic Production, and Good News Film and was supported by Saga Pictures, Matajitu, and Pintu Kecil Lab.
Hainan Film Festival took place from June 12-14, 2015 in Haikou City, the capital of Hainan Province and was attended by participants from many countries, among others Indonesia, Thailand, Malaysia, India, Iran, Turkey, Cuba, Vietnam, Sri Lanka, Argentina, and Brazil.
Shelvy Arifin, the Director of Perum PFN, was very proud to hear the news. "I hope this movie can show an overview of natural resources in Indonesia, especially in food sector, to the international community. Moreover, we dedicate this award to all coffee farmers in Indonesia,” she said.
It was not the first time for Aroma of Heaven, a film directed by Budi Kurniawan, to win an award. In early 2015, the movie was also awarded “Best Editing Film” in Ahvaz Science Film Festival in Iran. (Translator: Sugiarti)
